No, Mya and Erica are not relatives. The relative is the aunt of Erica but is related to Mya by marriage, not biologically.

Sorry to say, I'd love to be wrong but I suspect Mya's father in her killing. Who forgives the killer of their baby before they get ANY kind of justice?

When he picked her up, her guts fell out (this was very heart wrenching to read), why would he pick up a severely injured person? Is it not common sense to NOT move a bleeding person? Why did he not call 911 immediately?

I just spoke with a relative of Mya, who just happens to be the aunt of ERICA GREEN (Precious Doe)....She said that Mya was NOT at a party. I asked if Mya was able to speak and she said she could not, as her throat was slit. She said when the dad picked her up, all of her guts fell out (the attacker cut her stomach badly). She also said that it was the dad who raised Mya, not the mother.

Also, an autopsy concluded that Mya died of a brutal beating, not from the stab wounds. She was...

Bigbeta--I had never read about the party. Wow, that's news to me.

Has anyone ever mentioned the possibility that Mya told anyone who did this or gave them any clues? She was alive when her dad found her. She was alive when she got to the hospital. Was she conscious at all?

I mean, I would think that would lead to a pretty quick arrest, but it does seem weird that the very first reports said she was sexually assaulted - not that she "may have been" but that...

I think I read online Mya had attended a block party that night. Could it be she came home tired then changed her mind and headed back to the party without telling her grandmother or father?

Edited to say: I have done further research and she was not sexually assaulted.

This little girl was much too gorgeous. Why is Heaven so lucky? The most adorable kids go to Heaven, all of the perfect ones! Doesn't it make you jealous that God take the ones we want and need the most? He ONLY grab the beautiful ones...so it seems.

Around the same time hundreds of family members and friends celebrated the life of a 9-year-old who was stabbed to death, Chicago police released a "person of interest" who collected scrap metal in the Auburn-Gresham area. The man, who was not charged, allegedly admitted to being in the alley where the girl was found.
