I recently heard about the tragic death of Cynteria Phillips from Sweety Keke's website. It is just absolutely awful about what happened to her.
Cynteria Kimberly Phillips was born on December 10, 1986 to a drug-addicted mother and an abusive father. She was neglected and sexually abused during her younger years. She was "disturbingly sexual" by the time she was 8 years old and by time she was 12, she was "scared and suicidal."
Cynteria did not deserve to die that way. Her death is really upsetting. What's even more upsetting is that the person who killed Cynteria is still out there. I just hope that whoever killed that sweet innocent little girl should be put in jail forever until he turns old and gray. It's been six years and nothing has been heard about any leads to who killed Cynteria. Cynteria deserves some justice and her killer should be locked up for good so he never hurts some innocent kid like Cynteria.
I also admire Sweety Keke for making a website dedicated to Cynteria and other kids who have been murdered. When people see her website, they'll hear about what Cynteria went through her 13 years of life and ask the question, "Who would do this to a innocent young kid?"
Cynteria's death was overshadowed in the media. You might remember JonBenet Ramsey, the little girl from Colorado whose murder has also gone unsolved. It got a lot of show in the news and the media. When news of Cynteria Phillips' death was heard, some people would think of her as some young poor runaway kid who ends up being found dead behind a school building. But the newspapers in south Florida found out that Cynteria was more than just some poor runaway kid and she was a foster child who was abused as a young child and the Department of Children and Families didn't provide helpd for the girl. Now that's something to catch people's attention! The newspaper headlines talked about how DCF failed to help Cynteria and the horrific details of her early life are chronicled in the papers in South Miami.
Some people want to blame Cynteria's parents for the terrible lifestyle she grew up in, some want to blame DCF
for failing to give Cynteria help, but the only person to blame is the monster who raped and murdered Cynteria Phillips, an innocent 13-year-old girl who grew up in a lifestyle of abuse and neglect, spending nine years of her life as a ward of the state, then living on the streets classified as a runaway, and the next thing, Cynteria's body was found naked near a school building. This poor girl was beaten, raped, and murdered.
It'll be seven years on August 14, 2007 since Cynteria Phillips was brutally killed. I hope someday that her killer is found and this young girl receives some justice so she can rest in peace.
God Bless Cynteria
1986-2000
May you rest in peace and the Lord watch over her.
