Am I missing something here? I had problems trying to figure the author's train of thought - other than HLW gave several slightly different versions of the
actual murder, probably to detectives and in the trial transcript. Didn't he know HLW had his own agenda - sort of like a basketball team thinking they
can't be beat - ? I actually believe HLW was dillusional myself - sort of like A. Hitler.

It seems like that to me. To be honest, that's typical of serial and mass killers. NYC most nortorious serial killer, Joel Rifkin, gave contradictory accounts to the police during his confession and trial. He had the gall to create an organization for reformed prostitutes. He called it Oholah house after a biblical character who was killed in ancient Israel. It's the same with this pathetic HW. I don't understand why the state is delaying in having him executed.
