Lord why do you take the best kids, the ones who are simply adorable?
I know they must go, by why must their death be so horrible?
Mya Lyons is a prime example, murdered at 9 years old.
She was a gorgeous kid, with a precious heart full of gold.
Why must her family and friends go through this?
They never said good-bye or even got a last kiss.
She touched many hearts and brought much joy during her short years.
I've never met her, but I still can not hold back tears.
If there was just one wish I could be granted here tonight,
It would be to save all the children and make this world bright.
When I was younger, I had a Christmas list full of childhood fantasies.
And my mom filled my dreams with gifts beneath decorated trees.
I am not a child, I am all grown up now.
But my heart still has dreams--Can you help somehow?
Here's my lifelong wish, on my GROWN-UP Christmas list.
Not for myself but for Mya Lyons and other angels in the midst.
No more child abuse, child neglect or child molestation.
Get rid of all the pedophiles and predators in our nation.
Put an end to senseless child killings.
Heal all broken hearts and crushed feelings.
Here's my grace, loud and clear.
This is the prayer I hope you hear.
Bring back Mya Lyons, she deserves a resurrection.
Lead her killer to justice, send him to the right direction.
But you somehow tell me, that Mya Lyons did not die.
You called her name, lifted her up and gave her wings to fly.
