CORSICANA - Navarro County authorities said a six-year-old girl who was found dead Monday in her home was apparently murdered.
Police have not released information on how Hannah Mack died and no arrests have been made.
A statement from the Navarro County sheriff's office said the girl's body was found by her mother, Dana Mack.
"That broke my heart right there because she was, them kids, they were sweet," said Patricia Partney, a neighbor. "They were always smiling sitting on the front porch."
Neighbors said Hannah has two sisters that lived in the same house where she was found.
The family's home is near Navarro Mills Lake, about 65 miles south of Dallas.
Authorities didn't immediate provide details on how the child died.
An autopsy will be done in Dallas.
