When I saw that Precious Doe's killer appeared in court this week, I said "Finally ..." -- but I was doomed to disappointment
again. He has already fired 2 sets of lawyers - and is performing every trick known to delay his trial. Please read:

Face of a Killer
Harrell Johnson, Precious Doe's killer and decapitator, will not face the death penalty -- ---------- There is a short clip on this story, including the couple being delivered to KC after their arrest in 2005. I guess I can live with this, but there were some very mad people in KC when they took off the death penalty offer in exchange for a jury made up of Jackson County residents instead of a St. Louis jury --- KWH http://precious-doe-news....b.com/story/4452-3231889/  A lonely faded cross near the park
where Erica was discarded. The sight of this hurt me to my very soul. It was still there when I visited in 2006.

now that she could spit nails - This lady had left a lot of flowers and comments on Erica's Find-A-Grave site. -- KWH

Erica's father was ?Larry? Green, who was in prison when Precious Doe was identified. (He was not allowed to attend Erica's
second burial.) Erica was not related to her killer, Harrell Johnson. Erica's mother Michelle Johnson may have been about 40 % white. (See explanation
below.) Erica was born in prison, and was raised by a loving Betty Brown until about a month before her death, when Michelle took her to Kansas City.
The child, dubbed "Precious Doe" by local residents, appeared to be black. But new DNA tests that can
determine a person's heritage indicated she was of mixed ancestry - about 40% white. That meant she almost certainly had a white grandparent"
